Who’s Your Daddy?
Yes, I do read other blogs and I often find inspiration in my sisters-in-ink
With Father’s Day right around the corner, everyone seems to be re-visiting the old favorite, the shirt & tie…but nobody does it better than the Stamp Goddess, Amy Celona. This weekend I needed to dress up a gift box for my father-in-law and using Amy’s matchbox as inspiration and a bunch of leftover designer paper (SU!-Dashing) I came up with my own shirt & tie box.
My box is a bit bigger than Amy’s original…it’s actually 10"x13". The collar hides the seem where the designer paper is matched up. To get the tie size/shape right, I just played with copy paper until I was happy and then used it as a template for the DSP.
A beaded pin adds a little bling and makes a snazzy little tie bar.
I think my father-in-law liked the box almost as much as he liked his gift!
