Craft Corner
Hi! My name is Samantha and I am a Craft Addict…(Remember, the first step toward recovery is admitting that you have a problem…so, there you go!) Actually, I usually refer to myself as having Craft ADD. I tend to become passionately involved with a craft for a time and then move on (leaving a trail of half done projects and unused supplies in my wake…any of this sound familiar???) Fortunately, I married a somewhat understanding man…who puts up with my "quirkiness" (for the most part…and for the record: I prefer to look at it as a mutual understanding between flawed individuals…don’t even get me STARTED on his fish and Star Wars memorabilia!!!)
And while I will always remain faithful to Stamping and Scrapbooking and of course, SU!…I do sometimes venture out to try other crafts, mediums and even {GASP!} supplies all in an effort to find an outlet for my tormented, artistic soul (or something like that
)
Here are some projects I have done that I thought my interest and inspire you!
Enjoy and Happy Crafting!

The Rubber Stamping Diva
•I hope that everyone who reads this understands that I mean absolutely NO disrespect to those suffering from addiction in any form or ADD…I am simply "borrowing" those terms to fully impress upon the reader of the depth and breadth of my crafting passion. Thank you for your understanding! ~SMP
This Cigar Box Purse uses a retired SU! stamp set, Staz-On ink, Pearl-Ex Powder (bronze: That’s how I tinted the wood), and polyclay. Assorted travel related items are decoupaged to the front. The handle is accented with polyclay beads, that once formed were rolled over inked stamps to create their unique design.
An Altered Chinese Take-Out Box (unused…just ask for a few extra with your next takeout order)…this one is quart-sized. This box features retired SU! Designer Series Paper, metal edged tags, Magic Mesh and plenty of ribbon! After unfolding one box, I cut it apart to create patterns for the various sides and flaps…I cut each of these patterns about 1/4" smaller to make sure they fit (this is why each side shows a white border.)
This Night at the Movies Gift Pack is so much fun to give…and easy to make! The 2-liter bottle of soda is covered in a piece of stamped cardstock and the Jiffy Pop popcorn top is decorated too! A pocket is the perfect place to slide a gift card to a local video rental shop or a box of movie candy (think Jujubees or SnoCaps!) Bend the handle of the Jiffy Pop slightly so that it hangs nicely off the 2-liter bottle and decorate as desired! This is a great Teacher Gift, Welcome, Anniversary, Thank You…oh, let’s face it…it’s perfect for almost any occasion! Consider making these in bulk and selling them during the holidays as a fundraiser…the possibilities are endless!
Altered Tins are so much fun! They’re like potato chips….I couldn’t make just one!
This one I made as a gift for a friend who loves Disney (almost as much as I do!) It’s the perfect place to display photos, maps, tickets and whatever else she brings home from her frequent visits to the "Happiest Place on Earth!"
Another gift…this one is a recipe box to store & display those secret family recipes!
